Chandrayaan 3 Landing Successful
On Wednesday Chandrayaan 3 Landing Successful: India achieved a remarkable feat by successfully landing a spacecraft near the Moon’s south pole. This area, which hasn’t been explored much, is believed to contain important stores of frozen water and valuable elements. This achievement showcases India’s growing strength in space and technology. A special vehicle carrying a rover safely reached the lunar surface at 6:04 local time. The event was met with cheers and applause from scientists in Bengaluru, India. After an unsuccessful attempt about four years ago, India has now made history as the first country to land in this lesser-known South Pole region. This accomplishment puts India alongside the United States, the Soviet Union, and China in the exclusive club of countries that have successfully landed on the Moon.
Professor Anu Ojha OBE, Championing Space Director at the UK Space Agency, said, “Congratulations to India on this amazing feat of engineering and perseverance. The successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 in the southern polar region of the moon is further evidence that we are living in a new space age, with space agencies and companies across the world setting their sights on the Moon and beyond
